WHO WE ARE

Educational Institute (Training Institute) of the Central Bohemia Region – VISK is a legal entity – a contributory organization, which was established by the Central Bohemia Region. The new scheme has been in existence since the 1st January, 2010, when the main activities were extended and the name of the organization was changed.

VISK was established for the purpose of providing public good work in the field of adult education and continuing professional education particularly in the Central Bohemia Region. Currently it provides its activities through nine regional offices – training centres located in the district capitals of Central Bohemia Region and in Prague as well.

WHAT WE DO

Further training of teachers (in-service teacher training)

• It is built on the previous twenty-year tradition of teacher training in our region.
• We offer educational programmes for all categories of teaching staff and all kinds and types of school and educational facilities – we implement various seminars, training courses and extensive adult education.
• VISK offers more than 500 accredited educational programmes.
• VISK has Accreditation at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Czech Republic: Ref. No: 11 497/2007–25

Further training of public administration

• in progress since 2010
• we offer training for officials under the Act No. 312/2002 Coll., and training of elected members of councils
• we implement various courses and extensive tutorial programmes
• VISK has Accreditation at the Ministry of Home Affairs for the area of public authorities education: Ref. No.: AK/I-19/2010

VISK project activities

• we implement several projects in the frame of the Operational Programme – Education for Competitiveness (OPVK)
• we participate in other projects as partners or contractors
• in the OPVK we are preparing other projects with the financial support of the ESF
